Used spare parts are a big part of keeping cars affordable in the UAE. Done right, you get an original part for much less than new. Done wrong, you get a part that doesn’t fit or fails early.
Start with your chassis number
The chassis number (VIN) is on your vehicle registration card (mulkiya). It identifies your car’s exact model, year, engine and often trim. Sharing it is the fastest way to get the right part.
Know your spec
GCC-spec and imported cars can use different parts, especially for cooling, lighting and electronics. Mention which you have.
Check the part
- Body parts: look for cracks, repaired areas and broken mounting tabs
- Lights: check for cracks, moisture inside and broken clips
- Engines and gearboxes: ask how the unit was checked and what is included
- Electrical parts: ask whether they were tested
What should be new
