Heat and car electrics in the UAE

Summer heat is hard on car batteries and wiring. Under-bonnet temperatures in July and August speed up battery wear, and plastic connectors and wire insulation can become brittle over time. A battery that seemed fine in winter can fail suddenly on a hot morning in an Abu Dhabi car park or after a day parked in the sun in Al Ain.

If your car is slow to crank, or you see a battery or charging light, a quick test tells you whether the battery, the alternator or a hidden drain is the real cause. Read more in our guide on when to replace your car battery.

Testing first, then repair

We use a multimeter, battery tester and computer diagnostics to trace electrical faults. This avoids replacing parts that were never the problem. Once we know the cause, we explain it and give you the cost before repairing.

Car electrical repair — common questions

Why does my car battery keep going flat?

Common causes are an old battery, a weak alternator, or a parasitic drain from an accessory or module that stays on after the car is locked. A charging-system test and a drain test show which one it is.

Can you fix a warning light on my dashboard?

Yes. We read the fault codes, check the related circuit or sensor, and fix the cause rather than just clearing the light.

Do you repair power windows and central locking?

Yes. These are usually a motor, regulator, switch or wiring fault, and we test each one to find which.
