Why we check for leaks first
A car AC is a sealed system. If the gas is low, it has leaked from somewhere — a hose, an O-ring, the condenser or the compressor seal. Recharging without finding the leak means the AC goes warm again, sometimes within days. We test the system, look for the leak, and tell you what needs fixing before recharging.
AC tips for Abu Dhabi and Al Ain summers
Interior temperatures in a parked car can climb very high in summer. Opening the windows for the first minute of driving lets hot air out and helps the AC catch up. A dusty condenser in front of the radiator also reduces cooling; it is worth checking during servicing.
If your AC only cools while driving and gets warm at traffic lights, the condenser fan is a common suspect. Read more in car AC problems in the UAE.
Car AC repair — common questions
Why is my car AC blowing hot air?
Common causes are low refrigerant from a leak, a compressor that isn’t engaging, a faulty condenser fan, or an electrical fault. Testing pressures and the electrical side shows which.
Do you do AC gas refilling?
Yes, after checking the system. If there is a leak, we tell you and recommend fixing it so the recharge lasts.
Why does my AC smell bad?
Usually a dirty cabin filter or moisture on the evaporator. Replacing the cabin filter and cleaning the system often helps.
