“Full service” can mean very different things from one workshop to another. Knowing what should be included helps you compare quotes fairly and keeps your car reliable through an Abu Dhabi summer.
The basics every service should cover
At minimum: engine oil and oil filter, an air filter check, fluid levels (coolant, brake, power steering, washer), a visual check of belts and hoses, and a look at brakes and tyres. A good workshop also tests the battery, because heat shortens battery life in the UAE.
What changes for UAE conditions
Heat, dust and stop-start traffic mean many cars here fall under the “severe service” schedule in the owner’s manual. That often means more frequent oil changes and filter checks. Cabin filters clog faster with dust, which weakens AC airflow.
